More than 4,700 adults and children with developmental disabilities in Summit County depend on the funding received from the Summit DD levy for essential services. Summit DD will be putting an issue on the ballot on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 to renew this critical levy and they need our support. This is NOT a new tax and will continue to fund essential services and supports from 2019-2024.
The levy’s passage is vital to the programs and services UDS provides to our consumers who live in Summit County. The revenue from the levy funds both Medicaid eligible services and services funded exclusively with local tax dollars. For UDS, this represents approximately $7 million each year which helps us to maintain the high level of quality services our consumers, caregivers, and families have grown to expect.
