UDS employees live united
Individual departments at UDS came up with fun and creative ways to contribute to this year's United Way campaign. As a result, nearly 100% of the agency's full-time employees pledged more than $18,500.
United Way of Summit County helps to support 122 programs in the community provided by 48 local affiliated health and human service agencies. Last year, United Disability Services received more than $380,000 from United Way. The agency has also been the recipient of two United Way Development Fund Grants in support of the Toy and Resource Center and Pediatric Palliative Care Respite program.
UDS employees from the Kent and Twinsuburg locations joined forces for a little friendly competition at Sto-Kent Lanes while members of the Vocational Services staff in Akron opted for a Wii bowling tournament to have fun and raise money for United Way.
