Basket Ball Gala
Mark your calendars! United Disability Services' Basket Ball annual fundraising gala is being held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Akron Hilton West. This year the agency is introducing its new look and the event has a new venue—stay tuned for more fun and fabulous event details.
Since the first Basket Ball in 2005, nearly $500,000 has been raised to support the programs and services provided by United Disability Services for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. Some of these funds have been designated to provide respite care for the elderly, transportation services, low vision assessments and optical aids for people who would otherwise be unable to afford them, as well as furnishings for several group homes operated by the agency.
