Kaleidoscope Magazine seeks submissions for Issue #66

Issue #66 of Kaleidoscope Magazine will be exploring the theme "Disability in the Midst of Relationships with Significant Others." We would like to include pieces from the perspectives of the person with the disability or those of his or her partner, as well as writing from couples who both have a disability. We will also accept collaborative efforts, if you prefer to write something together.
Relationships themselves bring many challenges; when a disability is added to the mix, the complexities of everyday life are increased and influence the dynamics of a relationship. Communication, which is so important in any relationship, becomes even more essential when dealing with the unique challenges presented by a disability. Consider the process of discovering the "new normal," and how one adapts to changes that occur over time, whether a disability existed since childhood or was acquired later in life.
