UDS awarded Akron Community Foundation Grant.
The agency is grateful for the support of the Akron Community Foundation which recently awarded the agency $12,000 in matching funds for the Independent Living program.
The agency also received a grant from the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission to be able to continue offering these important services to individuals over the age of 55 who are experiencing vision loss to help them maintain their independence in the community. Last year UDS served 74 people through the program.

TRC receives grant from Sam and Kathy Salem Philanthropic Fund.
The Sam and Kathy Salem Philanthropic Fund of the Akron Legacy and Endowment Fund of the Jewish Community Board of Akron has donated $1,000 to help provide Toy and Resource Center memberships to those who might otherwise be unable to afford them.
