Residential Home Manager -- Macedonia
United Disability Services has an opening for a full-time Home Manager in our Residential Program. This position is responsible for the management of a residential location, to include supervising direct-care staff, for adults with disabilities who live in a group setting. Scheduled hours: 12pm to 8pm Monday through Friday, must be flexible with schedule as needed and on-call for emergencies.

Consumer Outreach Specialist

This is a part-time, weekend and/or evening position, providing direct care and recreational outings to adults with developmental disabilities. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required. Must be willing to use own transportation; with mileage reimbursement. Program Sub -- Adult Services
United Disability Services has an opening for a full-time Program Sub in our Adult Services Program serving adults with developmental disabilities. This position will be trained to work in all areas and all locations within Adult Services, including Akron, Kent and Twinsburg, and will fill vacancies due to absences. This position is an instructor/trainer role and will be directly involved in instruction, training and supervision and personal care of consumers. Experience preferred in lifting, feeding and working with adults with developmental disabilities, but not required. Training will be provided. Requirements include proof of HS/GED; BCI; references and physical w/drug screen. College in related field helpful. Must acquire DODD Adult Services Certification.
This position will include an additional $1.00 per hour premium at start as well as incumbents in these positions will have the opportunity to earn additional one-time base salary increases of $.25 per hour at intervals of 6 months and 1 year. Support Specialist -- Full-time
United Disability Services has 2 full-time positions available for a Support Specialist I in our Residential Program serving adults with developmental disabilities. Job duties include providing support in areas of daily living, personal care, money management, health/safety and socialization.
The position at our Garnette home in West Akron works Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10pm to 10am.
The position at our Foursome home in West Akron works 3p to 12a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 4p to 9p Friday and 10a to 6p every other weekend.

Employment Trainer -- (Part-time)
United Disability Services is currently hiring a Employment Trainer in our Community Employment Department to provide individualized jobsite assessment and coaching for people with disabilities at community- and facility-based employment locations. Positions will work in partnership with Job Developers to provide customized support services consistent with the mission and values of the Agency.
HS diploma or equivalent required. College degree and/or at least two years experience working with people with disabilities in a vocational setting preferred. Position requires excellent recordkeeping and communication skills; ability to think critically and use independent judgment in decision-making situations; basic computer knowledge, including e-mail and MS Word. Must be available to work flexible schedule with varied hours per week as needed including evenings and weekends, not to exceed part-time status of 29 hrs per week. Must pass background check and physical w/drug screen. Must have 5 years driving experience with proven safe driving record.

These positions will be trained to work in all group homes within the Residential program and will fill vacancies for all shifts as needed due to absences. We offer flexible schedules as you sign up for the shifts you are interested in.

On-Call Bus/Van Drivers
United Disability Services has an opening for an On-Call Driver of Agency Bus/Vans. This is a part time, as-need position. Candidate must possess the ability to provide passenger assistance and demonstrate understanding and compassion for the general and specific needs of the passengers they transport.
Requirements include 5 years of driving experience, possession of a valid Ohio Driver's License, must apply for/obtain a CDL Class "C" with passenger endorsement within 120 days of employment (Agency will provide assistance), proof of HS Diploma/GED, background check and physical w/drug screen.
