United Disability Services is inviting family members and caregivers to attend Connected & Protected™: Helping Your Loved One Stay Safe Online, a free educational session focused on assisting people with disabilities with online safety.
As technology becomes a bigger part of everyday life, so do the risks that come with it. This session will help attendees better understand the online platforms their loved ones use, recognize common scams, explore privacy and account security settings, and learn how to start productive conversations about online safety at home.
This session will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at United Disability Services, 701 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44311.
Thanks to funding provided by the Parent Coalition Heritage Fund, we are able to offer this session for free. Registration is required.
For questions or to register, contact Kay Shellenberger at 330-762-9755.
We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation about keeping people with disabilities safe, informed, and protected online.
