Direct Support Professional I

As a DSP, you will fulfill an instructor/trainer role and be directly involved in the instruction, training, and supervision of the individuals served, while assisting with personal care as needed. You will be helping the individuals served to learn and develop the skills needed to be included in the community.

Availability:
- This position is Monday through Friday **NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS**

Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), physical and drug screen
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Two years driving experience with no more than 2 points
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities desirable, but we will provide PAID training

On-call Driver
United Disability Services has an immediate opening for a Part-Time On-Call Driver to transport persons with and without disabilities and provide passenger assistance. Candidates must possess the ability to provide passenger assistance and demonstrate understanding and compassion for the general and specific needs of the passengers they transport.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- 2 years driving experience with no more than 2 points
- Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), physical and drug screen
- Acquire and maintain a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card

Join Our Team as an Summer Employment Trainer at United Disability Services
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of high school students with cognitive, physical and/or emotional needs who are exploring careers and work?
- Inspire and guide individuals with disabilities by demonstrating excellent work and social behaviors.
- Help high school students explore careers and learn job skills
- Represent UDS professionally as a liaison to community employers.
Summer Employment Trainers provide career exploration opportunities and work experience at employment locations in the community, in a variety of work settings.
