On September 17, United Disability Services invited family members and caregivers to attend Connected & Protected™: Helping Your Loved One Stay Safe Online, a free educational session focused on assisting people with disabilities with online safety.
As technology becomes a bigger part of everyday life, so do the risks that come with it. This session helped attendees better understand the online platforms their loved ones use, recognize common scams, explore privacy and account security settings, and learn how to start productive conversations about online safety at home.
Thanks to funding provided by the Parent Coalition Heritage Fund, we were able to offer this session for free.

Thank you to all who joined us for this important conversation about keeping people with disabilities safe, informed, and protected online. We hope to see you at future educational seminars!
